Hydrogen mobility in Switzerland continues to pick up speed as the world’s biggest industrial gases group Linde today said it has acquired a 10% stake in Swiss green hydrogen producer and supplier Hydrospider.
Owned equally by H2 Energy and Alpiq, with a 45% share each, Hydrospider is building Switzerland’s first commercial hydrogen production plant.
Located at the Gösgen hydropower plant, Alpiq and H2 Energy plan to use hydropower to produce hydrogen for use in commercial operations, namely heavy-duty hydrogen trucks from Hyundai Motor Company.
