In its expansion across Europe, French-based Lhyfe has today (October 6) revealed plans to build a 200MW green hydrogen production plant in the Netherlands.
The facility, planned to be developed in the Delfzijl chemical cluster in the province of Groningen, is expected to produce more than 20,000 tonnes of renewable green hydrogen each year, which Lhyfe says could displace 2.2 million tonnes of carbon dioxide within a decade.
H2 View understands the company has already secured the plot of land, and renewable energy connections for the plant. Expected to be commissioned as early as 2026, Lhyfe hopes it will meet growing industrial demand for green hydrogen in the area.
