Lhyfe and Centrica have agreed to jointly develop offshore green hydrogen production in the UK.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) revealed today (March 20), the French and British companies will explore collaborating a pilot green hydrogen production site in the Southern North Sea, in what they say is a first for the UK.
Aimed at combining Lhyfe’s green hydrogen expertise and Centrica’s experience of gas storage and infrastructure, the partners hope to prove that end-to-end hydrogen production, storage, and distribution systems are possible in the country.
