Hydrogen production, refuelling and fuel cell systems are hoped to be added to the Californian City of Lancaster’s existing green energy grid, following an announced partnership with Japan-based Choshu Industries.
The partnership, unveiled yesterday (May 9), will initially seek to integrate Choshu’s ‘SHiPS’, a containerised hydrogen production and refuelling station system, and ‘MizTomo’, a stationary fuel cell power system into Lancaster’s Green Energy Microgrid (GEM) system.
Both ‘SHiPS’ and ‘MizTomo’ systems can be scaled, extending the City’s hydrogen capacity to other sectors.
