KEPCO supports WGEH’s hydrogen feasibility study in Australia

Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) has agreed to support the Western Green Energy Hub (WEGH) in assessing the feasibility of producing hydrogen in western Australia.

WGEH Stage 1 is expected to deploy 6GW of hybrid wind and solar panels to produce up to 333,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per annum.

The feasibility study will cover the advancement of project engineering and cost modelling; collaborative engagements with Korean and Australian authorities and potential sources of project support; and integration of Australian and Korean firms that could partner in the project, including design and potential off-takers.
