Kawasaki demos 998cc hydrogen ICE-powered motorcycle

Kawasaki Motors has publicly demonstrated a hydrogen internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered motorcycle at Suzuka Circuit in Japan.

Designed and built as part of research which started in March last year, the Ninja H2 uses an adapted Ninja 998cc in-line four supercharged engine with modifications to allow hydrogen to be injected into the cylinders.

The bike’s chassis was also redesigned to accommodate the hydrogen storage and supply system.
