Johnson Matthey and the GAIA consortium develop fuel cell with a power density increase of 20%

Johnson Matthey (JM), as part of a European consortium called GAIA, has helped deliver a hydrogen fuel cell with a power density increase of 20%, the group revealed today (July 27).

This has seen the power density increase to 1.8W/cm2 @ 0.6V which is a market-leading result that will help provide a significant step forward for fuel cell technology and JM’s net zero aspirations.
