The JIVE 1 project has wrapped up its initial operations, ensuring the deployment of 131 hydrogen fuel cell buses across Europe.
Coordinated by Environmental Resources Management (ERM), the Joint Initiative for hydrogen Vehicles across Europe (JIVE 1) supported the advancement of sustainable transport in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the UK.
Since it started in 2018, JIVE 1 achieved its target price of €650,000 for a standard 12m bus, whilst demonstrating a consistent range of up to 500km. H2 View understands that original targets for fuel consumption were surpassed, with values of 6.5kg/100km.
