A three-year plan has been unveiled to develop a hydrogen industry in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province in Eastern China.
Drafted by the Jinan Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the plans aim to transform Jinan into a hydrogen city with more than three hydrogen-related technology research and development platforms by 2022 and more than one hydrogen testing platform.
Also by 2022, Jinan is aiming to have built more than six hydrogen stations, deploy more than 600 hydrogen fuel cell buses, logistics vehicles and sanitation vehicles and explore the applications of hydrogen in the fields of distributed energy.
Through policy guidance, Jinan wants to accelerate the introduction of high quality projects and form a competitive hydrogen industry cluster.
