ITM Power has announced a strategic collaboration with Italian-based FRIEM to further improve the performance of a standard Power Supply Unit (PSU) by closer integration with its 2MW electrolyser system.
PSUs convert grid or renewable-supplied AC power into DC power suitable for use in electrolysers, with the unit’s characteristics contributing to the overall system performance.
Utilising FRIEM’s 70 years of experience in electric energy conversation systems and ITM’s PEM electrolysis technology, the pair are hoping to further develop PSUs to boost green hydrogen from ITM’s 2MW containerised system.
