Power engineering firm Ansaldo Energia has been awarded €317m ($332m) by the Italian Government to develop 1MW AEM electrolyser systems for green hydrogen production.
The funding, secured through the €5.4bn ($5.7bn) Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) Hy2Tech scheme, will support Ansaldo Green Tech in the construction of a new AEM production line and R&D expansion at its Genova site.
