A €100m ($105m) Italian scheme to support electrolyser production has been approved by the European Commission as the nation looks to accelerate its green transition and reduce its fuel dependencies.
Set to come in the form of direct grants, the scheme is aimed to support the build-up of capacities for the production of equipment to help diversify its energy sources.
Approved under the state aid Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework, the grants will be available for all sectors apart from financial institutes.
