With hydrogen mobility gaining significant traction in the UK, INOVYN is set to ramp up hydrogen supplies to fuel a range of mobility applications.
To achieve this goal, INOVYN will ramp up the production of low-carbon hydrogen at its Runcorn site as part of a €2bn ($2.3bn) investment by parent company, INEOS.
INOVYN said that the investment will deliver dedicated on-site facilities for the purification and compression of existing low-carbon, fuel cell quality hydrogen for transportation and distribution to fuelling stations.
This could provide a significant boost to the UK’s hydrogen ecosystem by providing a backbone for the region to increase adoption and demand of hydrogen vehicles.
