INEOS Inovyn has achieved a new ISCC certification to become the ‘first’ European company to have its renewable hydrogen fully audited with greenhouse gas (GHG) gas data certification.
Expected to be Europe’s largest operator of electrolysis technology in Europe, producing 60,000 tonnes of low-carbon hydrogen annually across its portfolio, the company will now provide added value to customers by enabling the traceability of sustainable materials along supply chains.
The new certification will reflect INEOS’ ambition to reduce carbon emissions and from June 2023, with hydrogen production at the company’s Antwerp, Belgium, site now certified under ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) PLUS – a global voluntary certification programme for bio-based, circular and renewable raw materials across all markets.
