Indian PM shares ambitious plans for green hydrogen

The Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has turned his attention to green hydrogen after he claimed the country has fulfilled numerous Paris commitments on green energy.

Speaking at an International Conference on Wednesday (September 11), the Indian PM told attendees that the country remains “focused on strengthening existing solutions.” Regarding the fulfilled commitments, Modi added, “We are not resting on these achievements.

“This is where green hydrogen comes into the picture,” he said. Modi explained that he wants India to become a global hub for the production, utilisation and export of the fuel, building off the back of its National Green Hydrogen Mission announced last year.
