An Indian palm oil refinery is looking to cut emissions from its oleochemical production process with hydrogen produced from an alkaline electrolyser system.
Nel Hydrogen Electrolysers on Tuesday (May 4) confirmed the effort, stating that it had received a €2m ($2.1m) order for its alkaline electrolyser technology from an undisclosed Indian palm oil refinery.
Set be delivered in mid-2023, the order represents a new opportunity for Nel’s system.
