Haskel Hydrogen Systems Group and Hiringa Energy have together announced the first hydrogen refuelling at one of New Zealand’s newly deployed hydrogen refuelling stations which are set to revolutionise the transportation sector in the region.
Allegedly the first company in New Zealand dedicated to the supply of green hydrogen, Haskel revealed the inaugural fuelling using a mobile refilling system dedicated to commissioning and filling New Zealand’s first FCEV bus at the Rolleston manufacturing plant on Tuesday (6th April).
Utilising the new mobile refuelling system, Haskel’s hydrogen compression system will support the fuelling of buses and trucks up to 350 bar working pressure. The system and station capabilities demonstrate the viability and availability of hydrogen refuelling throughout New Zealand.
In collaboration with Hiringa, the new mobile hydrogen refuelling system is set to be a key component in building New Zealand’s hydrogen infrastructure for the transportation sector with further refuelling stations becoming operational later this year.
