IMI Critical Engineering have stated the European Union (EU) should expand its support to include US-style initiatives to meet green hydrogen production goals.
In 2022, the EU set targets for 10 million tonnes of hydrogen to be produced from renewables by 2030, with another 10 million imported, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
However, flow control solution provider IMI, has claimed the EU should embrace a broader spectrum of generation-based incentives, such as the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in the US.
