An Iberdrola-led consortium is planning on researching new technologies associated with critical equipment for green hydrogen production plants.
Covering the entire value chain, together with Ingeteam Power Technology, Inerco Ingeniería Tecnológia y Consultoría, ABC Compressors, Ingeniería y Diseño Europeo, and Innomerics, the Spanish renewables firm aims to reduce investments costs for green hydrogen production sites.
Set to run between 2022 and 2025 with a budget of €6.2m ($6.7m), the initiative comes as part of the Missions programme from the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, and has secured €4.1m ($4.4m) of funding.
