Ark Energy Corporation, the Australian subsidiary Korea Zinc, has ordered five 154-tonnes hydrogen trucks from Hyzon Motors.
The two companies on Friday (July 9) signed a Head of Agreement for the vehicles which will be used in road train configurations to Ark Energy for use by sister company Townsville Logistics.
By replacing its current diesel trucks with the hydrogen alternatives, it is believed that Ark Energy will reduce its CO2 emissions by over 1,400 tonnes per year.
