Hyzon Motors pulls out of overseas markets amid cost reduction

US hydrogen-powered truck firm Hyzon Motors is withdrawing from overseas market despite having launched its Australian commercial vehicle platform this year.

The decision comes as the company undertakes cost-reduction efforts and liquidity management, which it said could include job cuts and more.

With a view to “realigning” its focus on North American markets, Hyzon has said the move will allow it to focus its finances and position its fuel cell technology in North American Class 8 and refuse truck programmes.
