Hyzon grabs hydrogen truck order from San Francisco waste collection firm

Hyzon has logged an order for two hydrogen fuel cell trucks from a San Francisco-based refuse collection firm.

The US fuel cell maker and truck integrator announced South San Francisco Scavenger Co. had ordered two 200kW Class 8 fuel cell electric trucks (FCETs) built in cooperation with New Way Trucks.

Coming off the back of numerous trials and its first refuse collection FCET order in October, the new deal will be subject to conditions, including the “availability of applicable subsidies.”
