Hyundai to build hydrogen truck platform in China

Hyundai Motor Company is expecting to sell 27,000 hydrogen-powered trucks in China by 2030 as the automotive giant aims to build a hydrogen truck platform in the country.

Hyundai inked a deal with Shanghai Electric Power, Shanghai Sunhwa New Energy System and Shanghai Yonghwa Eletric and Loan Leasing to build a hydrogen commercial vehicle platform in the Yangtze River Delta on 27^th October.

The four companies will work together to establish a low cost/high efficiency business model to supply more than 3,000 hydrogen trucks in the region by 2025.

Hyundai has today (4^th Nov) signed an additional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Antai Science and Technology and HBIS Group to supply 1,000 hydrogen trucks in the Jingjinji area by 2025.
