Hyundai Motor Company is expecting to sell 27,000 hydrogen-powered trucks in China by 2030 as the automotive giant aims to build a hydrogen truck platform in the country.
Hyundai inked a deal with Shanghai Electric Power, Shanghai Sunhwa New Energy System and Shanghai Yonghwa Eletric and Loan Leasing to build a hydrogen commercial vehicle platform in the Yangtze River Delta on 27th October.
The four companies will work together to establish a low cost/high efficiency business model to supply more than 3,000 hydrogen trucks in the region by 2025.
Hyundai has today (4th Nov) signed an additional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Antai Science and Technology and HBIS Group to supply 1,000 hydrogen trucks in the Jingjinji area by 2025.
