Hyundai Oilbank will start manufacturing separators for fuel cells as it expands its hydrogen business portfolio.
According to Korea Bizwire, the petroleum and refinery company will work with Hyundai Motor Company on the effort that will be carried out at a facility in Seosan, South Korea.
The facility will be a new development and Hyundai hopes to start testing its developments at the site within the year, reports suggest.
One of the key components to a fuel cell stack, the separator is made by stacking hundreds of unit cells composed of cathodes and anodes.
