South Korean car giant Hyundai has invested in Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies in a bid to expand liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC)-based infrastructure in Asia and Europe.
The investment is connected with a joint technology and business development agreement for stationary and on-board LOHC systems.
Hyundai considers LOHC as a promising technology for hydrogen logistics and storage at refuelling stations, and plans to deploy and market the technology in South Korea, initially.
The company is a driving force for the build-up of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure in both Asia and Europe.
