Hyundai and Škoda partner to explore hydrogen mobility solutions

Hyundai Motor Company and Škoda Group have agreed to jointly explore hydrogen fuel cell-powered mobility solutions.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two companies aim to study the adoption of energy-efficient solutions for mobility projects and products, and explore a “hydrogen ecosystem and value chain opportunities beyond mobility.”

Hyundai is expected to share its fuel cell system and technology with markets where Škoda operates, such as the Czech Republic. The two companies will also conduct feasibility studies for fuel cell system applications for “diverse utilisation beyond mobility.”

The signing ceremony took place at the Korea-Czech Republic Business Summit in Prague last week and was attended by Ken Ramírez of Hyundai and Škoda’s Petr Novotny.
