Hyster hydrogen-powered reachstacker shipped to Port of Valencia

A Hyster-developed hydrogen fuel cell reachstacker has been shipped to Spain’s Port of Valencia where it will form part of the H2Ports project.

The Hyster Reachstacker is equipped with Nuvera E-Series fuel cell engines, offering reduced emissions and noise pollution compared to a diesel-powered vehicle. Hydrogen is stored in a high-pressure tank which the companies say can be refilled in less than 15 minutes.

Set to be tested and validated in live operations at the MSC Terminal in Valencia, the reachstacker is hoped to showcase the potential of hydrogen in port vehicles and equipment to reduce local air pollution and greenhouse gases (GHGs).
