US-based green hydrogen technology company Hyperion is moving its headquarters from California back to its home of Ohio, as part of a $297m investment to accelerate production of its next-generation hydrogen fuel cells that are set to power a new line of stationary and mobile energy products.
The company on Tuesday (Feb 2) said the new site will also house a research and development centre in addition to its manufacturing operations. As well as this, the development will boast great economic opportunities for the state, create more than 680 new, full-time jobs.
Hyperion’s chosen site is already withstanding; however, the company will now revitalise the building to suite its needs. By making this move, it is hoped the company will be able to fast-track its operations and begin production in 2023.
