HYKIT to launch in 2025 with hydrogen infrastructure for heavy machinery

JCB, HYCAP, and HydraB Group have joined forces to unveil HYKIT, a new joint venture focused on developing a range of hydrogen solutions, including distribution, storage and refuelling systems.

Set to launch in 2025 in Oxfordshire, the UK, HYKIT has been developed in tandem with JCB’s hydrogen engineering division. The products are expected to provide “vital infrastructure” for heavy, hydrogen-powered machinery and vehicles in the construction and transportation sectors.

H2 View understands that Neil Tierney, previously at NanoSun, will head up HYKIT as the CEO.

The new firm will be a “vital stepping stone to further hydrogen adoption,” according to Jo Bamford, Executive Chairman of the HydroB Group, who also owns Wrightbus, Ryze Power and Hygen Energy.
