Hygreen Energy has delivered a 25MW alkaline electrolyser system to Huadian Weifang Power Generation, enabling the production of up to 3.6 tonnes of hydrogen daily.
The electrolyser manufacturer supplied five 5MW electrolyser stacks to Huadian’s project, which will be integrated into its existing power plant in Weifang and used to produce hydrogen for an onsite refuelling station and blending with natural gas through pipelines for use by enterprises and residents.
It represents the first large-scale hydrogen energy storage demonstration under China’s ‘Hydrogen Into Ten Thousand Homes’ initiative.
H2 View understands that installation and commissioning of the electrolysers began in November 2024 and are scheduled to be completed in Q1 2025.
