Hydrogen Valley Estonia aims to establish the world’s first nationwide hydrogen value chain and serve as a focal point for the country’s growth in technology and innovation.
Consortium partners include Alexela, Eesti Energia, Port of Tallinn, the University of Tartu and the Estonian Association of Hydrogen Technologies.
Boosting the development of the green hydrogen sector based on renewable energy has an important role in implementing the green transition and achieving Estonia’s national climate targets, as it targets 100% renewable energy by 2030 – at the latest – and carbon neutrality by 2050.
Hydrogen will be one of the most important energy sources in the coming decades, contributing to the green transition as a storage and energy carrier.
