Hydrogen UK’s 2024 Annual Conference has heard support for recent developments and calls for further political and regulatory support to secure hydrogen’s role in the energy transition.
While on the ground at the National Conference Centre (NCC) for this very event in 2023, a large degree of concern was voiced around the UK potentially slipping out of contention across panels sessions and discussions across the event.
Now there’s a revised sense of optimism. Players feel government has responded to political carrot and stick tactics elsewhere, with its Hydrogen Allocation Round 1 (HAR1) funding and hopes HAR2 will follow shortly.
