Hydrogen to power Scottish festival in the Western Isles

A clean power start-up based in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, is set to provide zero-emission power from hydrogen to an iconic festival in the Western Isles this summer.

Harris-based PlusZero revealed today (June 15), that is plans to replace diesel generators at the HebCelt Festival with green hydrogen-powered alternatives for the Outer Hebridean festival’s 25th anniversary.

The innovative combustion engine generator is set to be fuelled by hydrogen produced at PlusZero’s production facility in Stornoway, Lewis and Harris from renewable electricity.
