Hydrogen Systems has announced its been awarded a contract to design, develop and install Oman’s ‘first’ hydrogen refuelling station in Muscat.
Shell Development Oman LLC awarded the contract, which will see Hydrogen Systems provide detailed engineering, procurement and quality assurance and quality control of electrolysers, compression, storage and dispensing all associated subsystems.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that Oman is on track to become the largest global hydrogen exporters by 2030, producing renewable hydrogen as cheaply as $1.6 per kg.
