Partners from Hydrogen South West (HSW) were recently joined by industry leaders, Members of Parliament and civil servants at a Westminster reception.
The event showcased the region’s emerging hydrogen economy and skilled workforce as well as opportunities in aerospace, nuclear and R&D.
Thangam Debbonaire, MP, said, “With advanced capabilities across aerospace, R&D and skills, Hydrogen South West will play a crucial role in the UK’s journey to Net Zero.”
Simon Earles, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Director at Bristol Airport, said it is capitalising on the three key sectors to accelerate change. He said, “Armed with the industrial experience, delivery expertise and regional knowledge, HSW presents a formidable opportunity to support the UK’s Net Zero transition. We want to bring as many people and businesses as we can along with us on this journey.”
