Hydrogen-powered Pioneer 25 debuts in Scotland

Extreme H has debuted its hydrogen-powered race car in Scotland ahead of its upcoming motorsport series starting next year.

The Pioneer 25 was tested publicly for the first time during Extreme E’s 2024 Hydro X Prix taking place in Dumfries and Galloway, driven by Extreme H development driver, Hedda Hosås.

The vehicle, designed and manufactured by Spark Racing Technology and powered by a Symbio fuel cell, boasts an output of 400kW and can reach 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds. It was first unveiled at London’s Tower Bridge last month (June).
