Energys and Telstra have deployed five hydrogen-powered backup generators at critical regional mobile phone towers around Victoria, Australia.
Manufactured at Energys’ Mulgrave facility, the hydrogen fuel cell generators have been delivered to sites in Neerim North, Chum Creek, Christmas Hills, Coldstream and Kinglake. The company offers 12kW, 40kW, 125kW and 250kW systems that can provide long-duration zero-emission power.
Energys’ solutions have been designed to meet international and Australian standards. Victoria revealed plans to kick start its renewable hydrogen sector, as its Renewable Hydrogen Industry Development Plan’s Renewable Hydrogen Commercialisation Pathways Fund provided grant funding for capital works projects.
