DEME Concessions and Omani partners have joined forced to develop a green hydrogen plant in Duqm, Oman.
The facility will help to decarbonise the chemical industry in Oman and provide green hydrogen to international customers in Europe.
Phase one of the project will consist of a feasibility study to determine customer take-off choices, technology options, electricity feed-in options, hydrogen shipping options and define the concept and scope of the commercial scale demonstration project.
The envisaged electrolyser capacity for the first phase of the project is estimated to be between 250 and 500megawatt.
