Canada wants 30% of its energy use to be coming from hydrogen in 2050, and to be a top three hydrogen exporter.
These are both goals laid out in the country’s hydrogen strategy, but also reaffirmed by Mark Kirby, President and CEO of the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA),when he today (Oct 19) spoke at H2 View’s North American Virtual Hydrogen Summit.
“Hydrogen is part of the future. It’s essential to net zero and it’s a massive economic opportunity. Now, it’s not the only solution. There are many pathways to net zero. But the main message is we need them all in clean power,” Kirby explained.
