“Hydrogen is on everyone’s lips. And I can tell you that from being around Asia – I’ve heard it in Chinese, Japanese, I hear it everywhere,” Bruno Forget, Global Business Development & Sales Director of Hydrogen Electrolyser Technologies at Cummins, enthused this morning at H2 View’s Hydrogen Virtual Event.
Forget has been dedicated to hydrogen energy since 2005 – some might call say an early adopter himself, and he’s been active in all the main early markets: North America, Europe and most recently in Asia. Now back in Europe, Forget has acquired a unique understanding of the whole hydrogen value chain on a global basis.
“I think by now everybody is pretty clear on how hydrogen can enable the energy transition and how it can electrify the hard to electrify sectors, which also happen to be, at the same time, the largest emitters,” Forget told the 350+ strong virtual audience.
“The question that everybody might have on their mind is why is a diesel engine company (Cummins) interested in hydrogen and fuel cells?”
