US President Joe Biden on Thursday (22nd April) formalised a new target for the US to cut its emissions by at least 50% by 2030 – an announcement which gained a lot of traction from the hydrogen industry as hydrogen is expected to play a vital role in these plans.
The announcement – made during the Leaders Summit on Climate – is part of the President’s focus on building back better in a way that will create millions of good-paying union jobs, ensure economic competitiveness, advance environmental justice, and improve the health and security of communities across the US.
