The Port of Long Beach, California, has taken another step forward in its hydrogen journey with a newly signed contract that will support the development of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure to fill Toyota vehicles.
Clean energy solutions provider Xebec Adsorption today (11th Feb) confirmed its involvement in the project, stating that it has received a hydrogen purification system order from Connecticut-based FuelCell Energy.
FuelCell Energy will use the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) based system to purify hydrogen produced by its SureSource™ Hydrogen system to help meet the required standards for fuelling zero emission vehicles.
Green hydrogen will be produced from renewable natural gas and fed into FuelCell Energy’s trigeneration process to help the port’s mission to lower carbon emissions and improve air quality in the community.
