Hydrogen Council appoints Hyundai boss to Co-Chair position

Hyundai Motor Company’s President and CEO has been appointed as Co-Chair of the Hydrogen Council, taking over from Yoshinori Kanehana, Chairman of Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI).

Jaehoon Chang will join Linde CEO, Sanjiv Lamba as Co-Chair and will work closely with the Council’s CEO membership as the organisation enters its “next chapter” focused on unlocking demand and accelerating global trade and investment.

Having been a founding member of the Council, Hyundai has been a key player in the hydrogen mobility market. The South Korean firm released the first mass-produced fuel cell passenger vehicle, the ix35, which was followed by the NEXO, ahead of the heavy-duty XCIENT truck.
