TV and film production appears set to be decarbonised by green hydrogen, as a start-up PlusZero signs an agreement to explore clean energy solutions with a leading UK TV and film producer.
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Serious Stages will see the two companies explore a ‘fully renewable’ energy solution for Longcross Film Studios, UK, the filming site for the recent Mission: Impossible 7, as well as numerous Disney+ productions.
Seeking to explore options to power off-grid TV and film production using green hydrogen technologies, as well as the potential for on-site hydrogen production using renewable power, the move follows on from the likes of Disney+ and Netflix announcing ambitions to meet Net Zero emissions across their operations.
