Hydrogen fuel cell technology has been a slow starter over the last five decades, Roy notes, but this might be changing as the technology has seen investment and more mainstream use in recent months.
Roy, an expert in renewable systems and currently researching hydrogen energy, batteries and carbon capturing technologies, made the comments ahead of a live virtual discussion next week on the hydrogen economy.
