Hydrogen risks should not stand in the way of its widespread ramp-up as a power source, a whitepaper from safety technology and gas detection firm Dräger has said.
The paper, hosted on h2-view.com, said hydrogen does not impose “major new risks” compared to existing fuels, but “trouble spots” can occur across the value chain.
Despite varying application-specific challenges, Dräger said plant safety is common to all – involving measures to ensure safe installation, maintenance and operation.
