US-based FIRST Global will hold the ‘Hydrogen Horizons’ robotics competition from October 7-10, 2023, designed to show students that alternatives like hydrogen can be a path to a cleaner future.
FIRST Global will host the Olympic-style robotics challenge in Singapore, with students from over 190 countries being charged with navigating a robot they built themselves through a simulated environment to produce hydrogen and use it to store, transport and convert energy.
Each year FIRST Global hosts a competition where teams work together to complete tasks in a game themed around one of the greatest challenges facing our planet, including the 14 Grand Challenges for Engineering, in an effort to foster understanding and cooperation among the youth of the world as they use their abilities to solve the world’s problems. With the theme of Hydrogen Horizons, the organisation hopes to support hydrogen-related industries and grow interest among young talent in the sector.
