Emirates Steel Arkan (ESA), Ohmium International and Khalifa University are set to collaborate on accelerating the uptake of green hydrogen in the steel sector to clean up ESA’s manufacturing.
Under the ‘Strategic Collaboration on Hydrogen Research and Development’, the trio plans to deliver an R&D programme to accelerate green hydrogen’s use in the steel sector allowing ESA to become a green steel manufacturer.
Ohmium is set to supply its PEM electrolysers while Khalifa University will offer academic insight on the best practices of using hydrogen in steel production.
