In its final act of this Parliament, the Hydrogen All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) has written to COP26 President Claire Perry to urge for the UK hydrogen industry to have a major role at next year’s summit.
In the letter, Chair of the Hydrogen APPG Anna Turley writes: “We have world-leading hydrogen trials and technology in the UK and other countries are looking at these projects for inspiration.”
“This activity has huge potential to cut our carbon emissions, create hundreds of thousands of highly-skilled jobs and open up exciting international trade opportunities.”
“For these reasons, I would urge you to provide time and opportunity during the summit to showcase the UK’s innovation in hydrogen technology.”
