HTEC will deploy 100 hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric trucks (FCETs) in British Columbia (B.C.), Canada.
The vehicles will be deployed through HTEC’s H2 Gateway programme, which aims to drive the adoption of hydrogen as a transportation fuel in the region.
In addition to the 100 FCETs, HTEC plans to develop an interprovincial network of up to 20 hydrogen refuelling stations, which will be backed by three clean hydrogen production facilities located Burnaby, Nanaimo and Prince George. A facility in North Vancouver will also liquefy 15 tonnes-per-day of vented by-product hydrogen.
